The Construction Industry Training Board team of developers and health and safety experts have been redeveloping the Managers and Professionals HS&E test.

This will ensure it assesses the correct level of health, safety and environment (HS&E) understanding and competence and, continues to be fit for purpose.

Managers and professionals in the construction industry are responsible for driving forward effective HS&E practices and to continually improve them, ultimately reducing accidents and fatalities.

The updated question bank has been re-focused to address the shift in behaviours and HS&E practices throughout the industry, in key areas such as:

• mental health
• leadership
• occupational health governance
• behavioural safety
• new technologies and
• improving legislative compliance.

The test is due to be launched in May 2023, with a new version of the GT200 revision material available six weeks prior to launch.
